HOW TO STUDY MATH TO GET GOOD MARKS IN MATRIC Board-FBISE- TIPS & TRICKS- fusionstories

HOW TO STUDY MATH & ALGEBRA TO GET A GRADE

Math is a core subject that jumps up or fall down, your grade, position and percentage in matric board exams.  One need to be very careful and vigilant from practicing the Math problems to attempting the paper in matric board exams. Let us assume that you have overcome Math phobia and had developed  interest in Math that why you chose it at higher level skipping the other sciences. Here you want to grasp best out of your efforts and practice in matric board exams. Here we'll ask the experienced Math teachers from different schools who are not only teaching the board classes since many years but they're checking and marking the matric board exams for long that they share a few basic tips to get higher grades in Matric board papers.

Math books for matrici in Pakistan comprise the concepts of of algebraic identities, trigonometry, algorithm, matrices  Real and complex numbers, Theorems related with area, statistics, linear graphs,  Ratio and proportion,  partial fractions , solution of quadratic equations and practical geometry.

'It is compulsory for any matric board student to focus and practice on basic algebraic identities to get  higher grades as about 50% of  Matric Math book is covered with algebraic identities and their solutions. You need to master algebra and revise it thoroughly to avoid silly mistakes in final exams,' Miss Sumaira, a senior Math teacher from govt. school Islamabad told in an interview.

'Secondly, the concepts of triangles, trigonometry are very important as all theorems and practical geometry relies on basic concepts of triangle. Students need to learn the concept of triangle from basic and revise it for full preparation of matric exams,' she continued.

Sir Mubashir, a senior Math teacher, in govt. school Lahore shared his tips to get higher grades in Math. 'I'm teaching and checking the Math matric board papers since many years. I'm glad that many students appear in the exam with full preparations now days and grasped higher marks. Still, there are students who fail to get higher grades even after attending expensive tution. If these students follow few basic steps then they too can stand in the row of champions of Math in matric.,' he smiled and told us the tips from his observation of many years.

WRITE MATHEMATICAL FORMULAS & ALGEBRAIC IDENTITIES  ON THE WALL

Then here is a mind-blowing and tested tip to fix these cluttering formulae to your brain clear.
Write all units, formulae and algebraic identities at a  paper with your handwriting and paste it on the place where you pass or stay most (it may be a washroom or a kitchen too 😊). Fix your eyes on paper once in a whole day and keep them revising.

This practice will get you more familiar with concept differences and the use of any formula at a suitable place.
TIP: Write formulae with your handwriting in bold will help you more.

READ AND UNDERSTAND THE QUESTION CAREFULLY

Many students put effort, revise and practice math problems but can’t get good grades in the exam. As a teacher, I’ve observed that students learn and practice math problems without giving any attention to the question. For example, there is a question about HCF. There are two main ways to find out HCF and math books show both methods side by side.

Q1. Find HCF by division method
a.    345,672,870
b.    B. 777,666, 789
Most of the students will solve part a and part b very well and will get ready for the exam.

Now it’s a paper day and here is a question in the  exam
Q. Find HCF by prime factorization
Now students will get confused about two concepts if they didn’t notice the main questions while preparing for the exam and will commit mistakes. Even some students will that question is out of course.
So it is very necessary to read and understand the main question before starting any concept. Students keep on turning the notebook pages and keep on practicing without giving a single look on the main question.
TIP: Always give a thorough read to the main question at least twice before starting any parts from inside the Math exercise.

ALWAYS PRACTICE ANY MATH PROBLEM TILL END

There are always many problems in any exercise relating to any single concept so while revising any concept; most of the students select a  few of them to practice for the exam. It's okthen they start solving the problems and at very start steps, students get the cheerful feeling that this problem is going to be very simple and decide to give up a practice that one before final answer. This is the biggest mistake which students make while practicing math for the exam that not to solve any problem till the end.

Many students start the question in right direction but fail to complete it. It seem obvios, they revise the concept but not the problems related to it.
CLICK TO KNOW: TOPPERS STUDY SECRETS Every problem with the same concept may have a simpler and same start but after a few steps, there can be interference of a variety of concepts to take the problem till solution. For example, if you’re given the problem like this
x+y /2+ x+y+3/4= 7
You may think it a simple algebraic equation with fraction and you’ll give up its practice just by taking LCM but it may turn to Quadratic equation at further steps and can require midterm breaking or any algebraic formulae to proceed to end.  If the same question falls in exam paper then you may stick to failure by leaving it in the middle.
TIP: Always practice math problems (easy or difficult) till end solution to prepare for the exam.

NARK THE TEACHERS BY ASKING

No no, don’t think beyond acceptance but the students who don’t get shy of asking the teachers about any problem from the syllabus get better concepts and grades. Most of the school offers extra classes for weak students or teachers to keep on repeating in class that you can come to me at any time regarding any difficulty about the topic then you should take their words serious even if they don’t mean them.
I know when students chase the teacher with a book to ask something then they showed off annoyance. Don’t take it at heart. After all, teachers are also humans…It’s you who need help and you’ve to be patient while listening to the teacher. After an advisory lecture, a teacher will sure explain the concept.
TIP: Never shy or stop asking the teacher if sometimes they show rude towards you.

EXPLAIN TO YOUR FRIENDS- BE A TEACHER

The simplest and most effective tip to keep your math and algebraic concepts preserved for long at your brain is to explain or teach the concept to your buddy. Always be ready to help your partners. Show them concern and make their fuss easy by explaining them the concept as much as you know. I can’t guarantee about your friends but believe me this practice will master you in your mathematical concepts.

LEARN TABLES

No matter to which grade have you jumped; you need to learn the tables again. Tables are the basic requirement to do multiplication and division in any problem and calculators are not allowed even at higher classes. Most of students find and learn algebra easy but at solving the problems, get stuck at basic multiply or division.
TIP: Write 2-9 tables in your handwriting and paste it at your door or cupboard. Before going to bed, revise all the tables. Have dodging table competitions among siblings. Use stopwatch from mobile and practice to read the table in minimum time without help.

PRACTICE THE CONCEPTS

I know you all must be waiting for the most verbal tip of practice, practice and practice the math problems. Yes, I'm on it too to practice the concepts learned at school daily and revise them at weekend is must to keep with the pace of your newer concepts and to get higher grades.

GET A KEY BOOK

It’s a usual practice that the teacher explains and solves a few parts from math exercise on board and rest are left on students to be done at home. The students who get tuition or have help at homes seem to be at an edge on this point but many students open the books, try to solve the problems but leave it after finding it above their heads. It is better to buy a good key book and place it at home for any extra help.

TIP: Never use handbook/key book unnecessarily just to cheat but it should be there to add help in time of real need.

I hope by applying the above tips you can get A grade or above at upcoming exams.
