Everyone dreams, plans and save for constructing one's own house where he/she can strive a content life. “Naya Pakistan housing project is an initiative from PTI government and the purpose of this scheme is to construct 50 lakh or 5 million houses in tenure of 5 years to benefit the lower-income and middle class to meet a dream of own a house. The registration for Naya Pakistan housing scheme started from 15th July 2019 till 15th October, 19 but this date is extended and now last date of registration is 15th Nov. 19.
By this scheme, the government will construct and manage the houses and then will deliver to applicants at considerable low charges as compared to the market.
If any Pakistani citizen wishes to apply for Naya Pakistan housing project then by visiting NADRA website, they can access the website npbp.nadra.gov.pk and following the fee payment of RS 250, they can fill the form online and can submit it to the portal.
The registration fee can be paid through mobile phone, credit card, debit card, easy paisa accounts. The scheme is offered at First come, first-serve basis.
The eligible consumer will have to pay 20% down payment of the construction cost during the construction period and the rest 80% will be approved by a commercial bank. The consumer or homeowner will have to repay the loan in tenure of 20 years, once the house is done. The goal of Naya Pakistan housing scheme is to bring the installment amount near to the rent prices given by the lower class. At first Naya Pakistan, Housing Scheme is offered at 19 cities of Pakistan. The list of cities, where Naya Pakistan Housing project has been offered yet;

By this scheme, the government hopes for the construction of apartments too at the project which will cost 15% to 20% less than market price. The government has set to acquire the land for the scheme at prescribed cities and on July 11, 2019 PM Imran Khan has laid the foundation of Naya Pakistan housing scheme in Islamabad Zone 4 and 18,500 houses will be constructed there as he has announced. 10,000 houses will be delivered through balloting and preference will be given to the low-income group. The income of applicant will be judged by the net income of family i.e. husband, wife, etc.
The first computrised balloting of the scheme was held in Lodhran on 14th October, 19 and Punjab housing minister aimed to start the construction by December.
Naya Pakistan may seem to long term project but it’ll not only spin the real estate market and, allied business parties to boom at Pakistan but will bring prosperity and self-reliance among the lower-income class if it is continued with good intentions.
