Daniel Defoe was born in London in September 1660. He was a English writer, trader, journalist, pamphleteer and spy. Defoe began writing, fiction late in life. Around of age of sixty, he published his first novel, Robinson Crusoe in 1719. He died on April 24, 1631 in England.
