PRIVATE VS PUBLIC SCHOOL FELLOWS: Why public school fellows are degraded at job opportunities?-fusionstories

Private VS public school students financial difference
Education is business now

Both boys had the same conceptual difficulty i.e. “How to find HCF by prime factorization”. Both couldn’t make the concept during school lecture despite the fact that Hashir was in Elite class Private school and Mahad was a scholar of government/public school.  They both got HW of rest of parts from the exercise. It was too hot on that evening. Hashir turned on the A.C. and opened his notebook. He stole a look the examples for while and got frustrated.

‘Mom, I’m totally blind how to divide the numbers written in row,’ he called his mom.
‘Umm…here it is,’ she explained him with patience while the baby cried up.
‘Ok…but…,’ he felt little clear and relaxed.
‘She’ll disturb your concentration. I’m taking her out. If you still have any problem then you can ask your father at evening or I should look for regular tuition for you,’
‘Mom, please call dad to bring my stationary while coming back,’
‘How much more stationary you need…ok...call yourself…I’m busy,’ his mother left the room irritate on his demand.
Hashir instantly grabbed the mobile, massage his father and started to Google about his geography project on continents. It was amazing to know more and more of world around. Math HW was not any more time taking task project for him.
Contrary Mahad turned on the fan and opened his notebooks when power cut off. While sweating he also looked for examples for while.
‘Mahad, please watch the baby for while or it would be better you take him outside for fresh air. I’ve to finish few tasks at home,’ just then his mother put the crying baby at his side.
‘I’m facing difficulty in doing my Math HW,’ he called his mother from back.
‘….Why don’t you ask the aunt lived at corner of street?’
‘Would she explain me…?’ Mahad found some hope.
‘I’ll request her to take some time at weekend,’ her mother consoled him thoughtfully.
‘Mom, I need new notebook of geography,’
‘…Can’t you wait till first of month dear?…you may paste extra pages at end of notebook to use it for few more days…,’ she left the room.

‘I’ll copy HW from someone else to avoid teacher punishment,’ he again tried to solve the problem but then put the notebook at side.
The baby was crying louder now. The electricity was back now but roof fan seemed to wave hotter air in room swelling the suffocation. He opened his geography notebook to memorize the topic on continents. He gazed at black and white pictures of earth and its parts. He moved his fingers to guess the exact location of his country on blurred map for while, held the baby and came out of street leaving his bag on charpoy.

The argument that which school system is better among private or public schools or which school system turn out more valuable and productive graduates to society, is getting fire all across the world. Public schools seem to get inferior ranking even in developed countries like America and Australia etc. The public school fellows have been declared less competent even after adding multiple degrees from prestigious high school or universities in their CVs.  Whereas a private school graduates seem to appear more appealing to hiring departments even with lesser qualification. This behavior is making its space all around the world.

‘Does a private school is really providing up to date and concept based education in comparison of public school?’

Does private school fellows are really competent against public/government school graduates? This question circles in parents mind around the clock when they cut off their grocery budget and recreation plans to pay sky rising high fees of their brood.

'It’s not matter of education at private schools but it’s more of concern of rich background students who get admitted there.'
Mrs. Maryam…a primary school teacher at private school elaborate that even most of our kindergarten students turn up to school aided with basic visual and practical skills from homes. They are already familiar with nursery rhymes and color and letters recognition through mobile apps at homes. We make sure at admissions that both parents of fellows are highly educated and belong to high income group that will able to provide their kids with all necessary assistance at school work and co curricular activities.'

‘Private school books are though expensive but are illustrated with high quality colored pictures and accompanied with concept based work books’ she also added.

‘Then what role private school itself plays to groom the student when they already are equipped with all tools from homes?’

‘Private schools provide high status company with lighten up curriculum, celebrated activities and use of modern gadget to soothe the parents objectives and hopes regarding their brood as well as to alleviate their high payments. Private schools burn a hole in parents pocket to maintain our budget and to make their children groomed actually and they do it happily as what we earn for; for kids obviously,’ she answered calm.

‘Then why don’t public schools also offer modern facilities and creative syllabus to compete their rival private schools?’

Budget again...It’s not matter of facilities or curriculum; it’s more of fixed budget from government as all education is provided with no tuition fees at public school and of the family’s lower pocket which breach difference among private and public school students.
‘Our most of students come from lower class background that hardly arrange nominal fees and required stationary. Being resident of developing countries it’s already a dilemma for parents to choose amid sending their child to school or left him at workshop to maintain their financial constraints. With limited fixed education budget from government, we can only provide black and white illustrated text books most of time when we really long for multimedia and internet facilities at public schools. Any extra burden on parents pocket frets them to review their decision of sending their children at schools. Public/Government schools are constrained to ratification system as it save the students from failures that are unable to get any extra study aid other than of school. In my opinion public school scholars are more hardworking and reliable at practical fields and know to meet the challenges,’ Miss Sumaira Aslam a senior public school teacher consoled her feelings.

‘Then why public/government fellows left behind to grab opportunities at practical fields in comparison to their private school counterparts?’

‘Because the opportunities and access which private schools fellows feast at childhood chases them till practical life and give them support to clutch better openings faster than of public/government school graduate with limited resources. Also hiring departments shows biased behaviors,’ she sighed.

'You mean to say that there is no difference in studying at public/government school or private school?

'Most of researches suggest that its not matter of education only as if eliminate the family background difference or keep it constant for both fellows then the diversity of quality almost vanished. Both systems are equally putting productive individuals to society. They should not be justified at their schools at time of any job appointment especially good jobs at private sector. This behavior should be changed for those who already have marked this journey diving in financial storms. A public school fellow with higher grades should be prefered above low grade private school graduate,' she forced her point.

'Why people from higher income group don't let their children at public schools even with good reputation?'

'Parents are free to to select amid any system based on their hopes and budget for their kids and they will continue it. They should not be blamed but the psychology to disdained the public school fellows need review.

From leaping towards conclusion of these researches first we would ponder few basic requirements any school should possess which make it an ideal place of learning for kids. What parents want to perceive in an ideal school for their child.

1.   SPACIOUS BUILDING, PLAY GROUND, LIBRARY

Public school seem to have more spacious and properly designed buildings acquiring large grounds, libraries, auditorium, science and IT labs in comparison to house based or B grade private schools.

2.   QUALITY EDUCATION

As far as the quality of education is concerned both fellows from each system are taught the same concepts at same level. Both students gets same difficulty to grasp any new concept but private school learners can get more assistance from home in comparison of public school fellows which make them a little better.

3.   GROOMING

What does grooming mean; up to date dressing, mannered language, fluency in spoken English and acknowledgment to worldly changes at little age. Yes, private school graduates are more groomed then.

So there is not any specific distinction of education as far as public/government or private school is concerned but the difference is of approach and pocket. The argument is not about the difference among public or private school but the actually about the disparity among financial background of public school and private school learners is on go. Higher the fees/charges, higher will be the conveniences. This argument and divergence will not only continue and will widen up as the difference of poor and rich will continue rifts among society.
