SCIENTIFIC REASON OF AN EARTHQUAKE
There are fractures in
the earth’s crust, which are called fault lines. These fractures can be tiny or
can be miles long. On the other side, we know that there is constant movement of
rocks and tectonic plate in earth’s crust when any of the rock slides against
any fault line or two tectonic plates push each other to make its space, then
jots and tremors are felt above the earth's surface which is called an earthquake.
CAN DOGS AND OTHER ANIMALS SENSE AN EARTHQUAKE?
Scientists suggest that
dogs and few crawling animals like snakes, lizards can sense seismic activity in advance because of their strong hearing sense. They can
observe grinding, pushing off the rocks with each other and micro-tremors deep
down from the earth's surface and can foresight any big sliding in near minutes. People for centuries have anecdotes when they observed strange behaviors of cats, dogs, ants and other animals before any imminent earthquake.
STRANGE BEHAIOR OF ANIMAL BEFORE KASHMIR EARTHQUAKE AND A CREEK SOUND
There was a massive earthquake in Kashmir, Pakistan on 8th October, 2005 at 8: 52 am, when big cities of Balakot and parts of Muzzafrabad lost to large gaps in the grounds and wiped down from the earth's surface. Giant rocks rolled down from the Himalayan mountain valley and crushed schools, hospitals, banks and houses under their feet.
About 100,000 people lost their lives in the nature's tragedy.
Kashmir earthquake, 2005 |
A victim of a massive earthquake in Kashmir said that
he felt birds started to twitter loud suddenly on trees and then he
observed a flying group of birds flew to one side. Asides my cattle
in the farm were bawling and trying to get rid of their ropes. My dog was barking staring in the air. For
seconds, a strange quietness crept in the atmosphere, followed
a creak and the ear screeching loud sound and the earthquake ups
and down my valley.
'There was a loud creak sound, followed the deep silence of micro-seconds before the earthquake hit the ground,' many Kashmiri survivors of earthquake confirmed the statement.
Anyhow, there is not
any scientific proof of animal's unusual behavior before an
earthquake, but still animals seem more aware than humans and try to aid them
in advance in case of a tsunami or an earthquake.
CAN HUMANS PREDICT EARTHQUAKES?
Despite the many types of research and geological theories, humans are still blindfolded to predict an earthquake. No one knows when nature will turn the drawing of its landscapes.
BENEFITS OF AN EARTHQUAKE
At one side earthquake causes life loss, but on the other side in a result of an earthquake, nature unveiled fresh lakes, new valleys, ways to the hidden minerals and uprising of mounted peaks which benefit the humans for centuries.
Only we all can wish to be in the list of nature where we only see positive of its orders.
