The people of Pakistan have mixed
reaction on the verdict against Pervaiz Musharraf in high treason case(sangeen ghadari case) on violating constitution in 2007. At first
place the people of Pakistan are wondering and real astonished on the verdict
of death sentence to former president and a military dictator Pervaiz Musharraf by a special court on violating the Pakistani constitution. No one was expecting
such grave decision from judiciary in Pakistan against a former Army chief. The
violation of Pakistani constitution by Army and interfere the civil government
affairs has been a known tradition in Pakistan since its birth. Military dictators
such as Ayub khan, Yahiya khan, Zia ul Haq overruled the civil government and
violated constitution at their time but one ever questioned against them. It is
fact that every Army rule left Pakistan struggling with chaos and
terrorism and same was ended in Pervaiz Musharraf’s tenure. There is an ongoing argument
in favor and against the court’s verdict on social media and people of Pakistan
are exclaiming their opinions openly.

This is important to notice that whether folks in Pakistan favor or oppose the death sentence of Musharaf but they think that Musharaf should not be called a traitor(ghadar). Musharraf has fought three main wars 1965, 1971 and 1999 against India and guarded the country. He has been tough commando so it is painful to call Pervaiz Musharraf a traitor on violating the constitution for his interests.
Majority of people in Pakistan are comparing the Musharraf's verdict with convicted Nawaz Sharif's flee to London after approval from courts.

Majority of renowned journalists and media persons have praised the verdict and call it a good sign to strengthen the civil government in Pakistan. They hoped that from now, no external forces will be interfere or dare to hold the government policies. Whereas the ruling party PTI is reluctant to give any statement in favor or against the Musharraf's death sentence. According to party ministers' opinion the Musharaf verdict can put breach among the institutes and can affect the respect for Army.ISPR press release on Musharraf verdict:

Pervaiz Musharraf opinion against his death sentence:
Pervaiz Musharraf spoke his point of view on a social media video and shown disappointment on the verdict against him. He said that he has not been given proper chance to defend himself.
On the whole the court's decision against Pervaiz Musharraf is more symbolic than of practical for the future dictators. Pervaiz Musharraf has right to appeal in Supreme court.
