Dubbing or voice-over is a tricky skill where professional artists voice-over the dramas, movies or video games in native languages by justifying proper lip sync and tone of expressions of original artists. Sometimes most seasoned actors fail to cope with the requirements of dubbing or voice-over and any less popular performer takes the win in dubbing/voice-over auditions.
Since the time Turk dramas made space in Pakistan TV channels, we come across professional dubbing artists while translating the drama from Turkish to Urdu. Though voice-over actors don't get any recognition in Pakistan but
to kill the curiosity to look for the Urdu voices behind the Turkish scenes which overwhelmed the Pakistani audience, we did some tracking and come up with surprising faces for you.
Sultan Suleiman’s voice over was performed by famous “Farhan Ali Agha”. He has also dubbed commander safeguard voice.
Ibrahim Pasha’s voice-over was done by the famous actor “Sami Khan”.
Harem Sultan’s voice-over was done by beautiful actress “Riz Kamali”.
Dirilis is a new sensation in the town. Ertugrul Dirilis is a fiction drama from Turkish television which is based on the life of Turk warrior of 13th century "Ertugrul". He was a father of Osman, the founder of Ottoman Empire. Do you observe the Urdu name of Ottoman Empire...."Khilaft e Osmania" or "saltante Usmania" based on name Osman, head of Kayi tribe? The two main voice over actors of Dirilis: Ertugrul new season on PTV are Diya Rehman and Anjum Habibi from Islamabad. Diya Rehman is a popular anchor person of Radio Pakistan and Anjum Habibi is a veteran actor. Anjum Habibi voice-over main character and Diya Rehman voice over the heroine.
Voice-over artist of Arfeen is Jamal Muneeb.
Kareem's voice-over was done by anchor “Faheem Abbas” and the lead female character Fatima Gul voice-over was again done by “Riz Kamali”.
The FM star and somehow TV actor Mustafa Changazi done dubbing on the hero of drama Amir and now he’s busy on other projects of dubbing new Turkish dramas.

Most of us know about the characters behind Ishq e mamnoo’s dubbing as this was most hit Turk drama in Pakistan.
The voice-over of famous character Beren Saat (Bither) was done by Riz Kamali. Almost all projects of Beren Saat like Fatima Gul, Bither, and Kosem Sultan are dubbed by Riz Kamali.
The character of lead character Adnan was dubbed by Shazad Ali Khan and the most charming Behlol’s character was perfectly dubbed by Sharique Mehmood. Sharique Mehmood also dubbed Behlol’s voice in Aik Haseena aik Deewana.
Again the Hazal Kaya (Nihal)’s dubbing was done by Almas Fidai like many other projects.
Most of the above actor/actresses are dubbing their on-air Urdu dubbed Turkish projects of Humari Kahani, Nazli and Emergency Pyar, etc. It's guessed that Sami khan is dubbing Auzan in Nazli.
The dubbing/ voice-over actors have shown excellent grip, passion, and professionalism in their work in Pakistan. Though some supporting voice-overs in Turkish dubbed dramas are so irritating and don’t appear natural. The voice of servants in "Ishq e mamnoo" and now in drama “Nazli” are too annoying and shrill. Sometimes one person voice-over more than one supporting character and to provide the feeling of discrepancy the voices are mingled which is annoying. Fortunately, we didn’t get such dubbing flaws in the drama “Mera Sultan” and “Emergency Pyar”.
At one side if Turkish dramas have given a tough competition to Pakistan entertainment industry and forced them to do experiments with stories and locations then on another side it is revealed that Pakistani TV audience liberally welcomes and admires the good projects from all over the world and hopes to see Urdu dubbed Korean dramas more on their channels too.
