PEMRA (Pakistan electronic media and regulatory authority) have banned two recently ended dramas 'Ishqiya' and 'Pyar k sadaqe' because of their controversial content. These dramas can't be retelecasted on any channel including Hum Sitarey and Ary digital according to PEMRA Ordinance section C.
PEMRA has clarified that it considers the investment and time that every drama takes but if any other serial next time aired with content that contradicts Islamic and social values then the drama will be banned without warning.
PEMRA has also issued warning about the content of the drama serial 'Jalan' too and advised the channels to look the content again. If PEMRA received further complaints about the drama content then it'll take action according to PEMRA ordinance section C.
More, people are complaining against the central ideas of dramas and there is anxiety against the content which is against the noble relations of the family system in Pakistan.
PEMRA has told the respected channeled about the concerns of viewers many times and advised them to review and upgrade the content according to social, Islamic, and moral ethics but for not having enough response, PEMRA issued a final notice on 18th August 2020.
According to press release from PEMRA,PRMRA has told channels, media houses, and production houses to review the content and if drama content would be against the viewer's choices or contradicting the social values then without caring for time and investment of drama, the drama will be ban without prior notice.
PEMRA issued a notice regarding the ban of drama serial "Ishqiya" and "Pyar k Sadqe" and warning for drama serial "Jalan" after having tons of complaints registered against the content of dramas on their social media account, citizen portal, and in call centers.

Ishqiya was telecasted on ARY digital where the hero is in friendship with the girl but after her engagement with another guy, sends a proposal and marries her younger sister to take revenge.
He continues to blackmail elder sister when she gets married and involves in her marital life.
The girl frustrated by blackmailing from her brother in law told everything to her husband and ultimately everything reaches to her sister's ears. The drama finishes with a tragic end. The drama observed grumbles from the audience for its content.
Story of drama serial "Pyar k Sadqe" and why it is banned?
A stepfather wants to marry his daughter in law and blackmails her where she and her husband are shown too innocent and being manipulated from the creeping man. The drama also ended showing the bad ending of creep man.
Story of drama "Jalan" and why is it about to ban?
A very annoying story where a girl can't digest her elder sister's wedding with a very rich and handsome guy and tries to ruin her sister's marriage. She constantly forces the guy to marry her and divorce her sister. The dama is still on air on ARY Digital.
Drama serial Jalan put the last nail as viewers come up furious response on such vulgar content.
Many people on the other hand that these stories are also a part of our society and every story has a central idea that disloyalty faces the worst end. These dramas shouldn't be banned.shows the moral ending
We hope our media channels and production houses will do some serious effort on the content of dramas and we can come up with fresh and upgraded dramas.
