  Why PEMRA has banned The ticktock show? Pakistan entertainment and media regulation authority PEMRA has banned Bol Tv channel popular show 'The ticktock show' hosted by Faheem Khan. A complete ban on the show is imposed after getting several complaints against the show on airing indecent content and videos made on Indian songs. The airing of Indian content is completely banned on any Pakistani channel but The ticktock show didn't bother it. Also, many people suggest that tick-tock is producing vogue culture amongst youth and it shouldn't be promoted. The complaints against The ticktock show were registered on PEMRA social media accounts and citizen portal. PEMRA issued a press release showing that a warning was issued to the channel against indecent content and asked the channel to customize show with decent Pakistani content but there was not any heed shown from the show makers. PEMRA (Pakistan electronic media and regulatory authority) have banned two recently ended dramas 'Ishqiya' and 'Pyar k sadaqe' because of their controversial content. These dramas can't be retelecasted on any channel including Hum Sitarey and Ary digital according to PEMRA Ordinance section C. PEMRA has clarified that it considers the investment and time that every drama takes but if any other serial next time aired with content that contradicts Islamic and social values then the drama will be banned without warning. PEMRA has also issued warning about the content of the drama serial 'Jalan' too and advised the channels to look the content again. If PEMRA received further complaints about the drama content then it'll take action according to PEMRA ordinance section C.
