LUMS admission criteria, merit, test & Scholarship ⁿprogram
LUMS Lahore University of Management & Sciences is a dream
of every young student who is looking forward to observe his future as a flourishing
businessman, entrepreneur, or as a skilled researcher. LUMS, founded in 1984, is
situated in DHA Phase 5 Lahore, Pakistan. It is a private research orientated
top university of the country. According to QS University ranking, LUMS ranked
top as best business school of Pakistan, and among top 250 best business schools
globally.
Schools of LUMS:
There are five schools in LUMS where you can apply for undergraduate and graduate programmes:
- HSS (School of Humanities & Social sciences)
- SDSB (Suleman Dawood school of business)
- School of LAW
- SSE (School of Science & Engineering)
- LUMS School of education
Eligibility criteria to apply in LUMS:
You’re eligible to apply for admission in LUMS only if your scored percentage is:
- Matric at least 70%
- Fsc at least 70%
- FA at least 60%
In case of Cambridge IGCSE exam:
- O levels: At least 6 subjects with B grade
- A levels: At least two B's and one C grade
If you’re below the above given criteria then you can’t even apply for admission in LUMS.
Admission process at LUMS:
It is advised that you don’t need to wait till the result of A levels or FA/FSc. to apply for LUMS. Admission process in LUMS is long and time taking. As soon as you reach in 2nd year, start filling the application form and apply for SAT exam asides focusing on 2nd year exam.
To get admission application from LUMS with at least 70% marks in first year, login at LUMS website and make your account there. There you’ll get a lengthy application form, read it carefully and start filling it step by step. Admission forms of LUMS for most programmers are available from September to Jan every year.

WHAT MATTERS A LOT TO GET ADMISSION IN LUMS?

- Do grades matter at LUMS admission?
Yes, they do. Any competent university admission requires
proficient grades to get in and the same holds for LUMS. If you’ve 5 A’s, you’re
at safe boundary. For A1 level, you can get admission with 2 As and all other
with Bs.
Some students find conditional admission after A s or A1 level. They don’t need very exceptional grades in A2 but try to get higher grades to strengthen your application.
2. DO SAT score matter for admission in LUMS?
Yes, it matters because of tough competition for the limited seats at LUMS. An average of 1060 and above SAT score considered safe for admission in LUMS but again the merit is compiled joining other factors too. You need to work hard before SAT exam and try to achieve high score. Try to join academy, prepare from SAT recommended books or go online to prepare SAT test but put your best to reach better score in SAT.
3. Do recommendation letter help in admission in LUMS?
They don’t matter a lot but try to get good recommendation letter from your school teachers to make your application strong.
4. What is personal statement and does it matter?

5. Can I change programs in LUMS?

Fees is taken semester wise and is about 3.5 lakh PKR per
semester for undergraduate programs.
It is about 1.5 lakh pkr per semester for graduate programmes
Fees for Post graduate programmes vary between 3 lakh to 4 lakh
pkr per semester depending upon credit hours.
