PEMRA ban the Mehvish Hayat Gala biscuit ad on indecent content divide the journalists and politicians

PEMRA banned and asked the review of the film actress Mehvish Hayat's new gala biscuit ad after journalist Ansar Abbasi and the federal minister of parliamentary affairs criticized it for indecent content and tagged it as Mujra.

Mehvish Hayat shared the complete song TVS of the Gala biscuit ad with the brand tag as 'meray desk rang' on her twitter account on 4th October. The teaser of the ad was also shown on TV channels.

The audience seemed divided on the content of the ad which is full of bold dance moves. A renowned journalist labeled the ad as Mujra and asked PRMRA to take notice of it. He also tagged Prime minister Imran Khan in the tweet.

Federal minister Ali Muhammad Khan reshared the Ansar's tweet and criticized gala biscuit TVC. He also said that the Prime minister is firmly against broadcasting such indecency on TV.

Interestingly, it's not the common people this time but criticism on a leading film stars of the country has divided the politicians and journalists into fumed arguments.

The federal minister of science and technology asked Ali Muhammad Khan to focus on some creative work.

Famous female journalist Gareedah Farooqi called Mujra a part of subcontinent culture which shouldn't be downrated.

Whereas Arshad Sharif, a prominent journalist also favors the ad and criticized Ansar Abbasi and PEMRA upon the ban
 of the gala biscuit ad.

In past, the gala biscuit ad was performed by actress Noor, almost with the same theme and was very popular among the audience.
What is your stance on ban of such ad as previously we have observed that PEMRA ban was not taken seriously by any TV channel and banned dramas and content is still on air on TV channels. Drama serial Jalan from ARY digital and the tick tick show is one such example of this.
