Ayeza Khan faced criticism from fans and Amna Ilyas trolled her for endorsing fairness cream ad by putting flour on her face.
Ayeza Khan tagged a fairness cream as a reason of her confidence and success in the advertisement which annoyed the 'Meray pass tum ho' star fans.
'I' m Ayeza Khan. Do you know the reason of my success?'
'Confidence! And I achieved this confidence from Faiza beauty cream.' Actress in bright red outfit sparked on the screens but
Ayeza Khan received backlash from fans for promoting colour complex and racism in society.
Amna Ilyas, film star and model didn't stop here but trolled Ayeza Khan by copying the ad by putting flour(aata) on her face.
She also told the reason of her success while trolling Ayeza Khan beauty cream ad,
'I'm Amna Ilyas. Do you want to know the secret of my success,'
Interestingly, Amna came to her dressing and put her face in flour and look herself in the mirror.
' Know yourself. Do you even know the person in front of you in the mirror! God!' She trolled that the real success and confidence is not at all attached with fair colour but do believe in yourself.
The obsession with fair color has been a huge problem in Pakistan. Dark skin colour women remain under trolls at every stage, from getting a suitable wedding proposal to achieve any practical life goals.
Last year, while talking to BBC Urdu Amna Ilyas opened up about her struggles against his dark colour both in professional and personal life.
'Everyone wants a fair colour daughter-in-law, fair colour model...,' she called out.
The complex with colour is taken as a card from beauty creams and they hire top actresses to endorse their brand to play with sentiments of dark colour people. At sides, they offer hefty amount for promoting the cream that most models and actresses don't mind to promote colourism even considering the backlash attached to it.
Faiza beauty cream is somehow perceived for using harmful chemicals to dye the skin fair is one in the list.
Amna Ilyas post got laughter from top actresses Aimen Khan and Sanam Jang.
After Amna Ilyas trolling Ayeza Khan unfollow Amna Ilyas. Further she used Amna's insta and advised her to stay away from such mess.
In return Amna thanked Ayeza for advice and ask the reason to unfollow her. Ayeza didn't replied by the way.
Earlier Momal Sheikh endorsed the brand. Here one thing is important to mention that last year, Iqra Aziz, refused the offer from fairness cream in spite of hefty amount because it was against her values. Iqra's husband praised Iqra for the daring act and shared a post on his Instagram post that
'Allah ney jaisa bnaya hai usi mey khush rain,'. Colourism or discrimination with people with dark colour is being strongly discouraged worldwide. Recently, a very popular fairness cream, Fair & lovely also has changed the name to 'Glow n lovely' for the same reason.
