Primarily known as Army Medical College, National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) was established as a Federal Public Sector University on 31st October 2015. The university has become the most prestigious growing network of medical colleges that is backed up by an extensive network of 45 Military Hospitals, 12 Single Specialty Institutes, 10 Medical Colleges and 4 Nursing Colleges.
The research-led institution of NUMS provides opportunities to undergraduate and postgraduate education in Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Allied Health and Veterinary Sciences with a necessary add-on the Social Sciences and Liberal Arts with a multidisciplinary faculty; aiming eventually to run university-led healthcare system in the country. Every year NUMS conducts centralized entry test for the admission in Medical programs MBBS/BDS in its Colleges.
The merit of NUMS Colleges and Universities is then depends on the NUMS entry test result, National MDCAT result and marks in HSSC or equivalent result.
Students who are waiting for the HSSC, A level or equivalent results can apply and give the NUMS Entry test. Here is a latest detail of NUMS Entry test 2021 that is advertised in leading newspapers of Pakistan.
It is mandatory to appear and pass National MDCAT test along with NUMS entry test to take admission in any NUMS affiliated medical college as per PMC regulations 2021.

Students are advised to reach the centres sharp at 7 am, three hours before the start time. the centres will be closed at 9:30am.
Entrance Card Roll number slips/admit cards date: 24th September 2021
Students can get their roll number slips by entering his/her CNIC, Passport/form B/NICOP number after the date.

Pattern of NUMS Entry Test: NUMS Entry test will be competitive nature. It means that students need to prepare the syllabus thoroughly. The students are advised to prepare all concepts by not restricting them on reduced syllabus.
NUMS entry test will consist two components.
Section I
1. Subject based question paper that will consist:
MCQs: 150
Time allocated:150 minutes
Breakdown:
Biology: 40%(60 MCQs)
Chemistry: 25%(38 MCQs)
Physics: 25% (37 MCQs)
English: 10%( 15 MCQs)
Section II:
The Psychological test:
MCQs: 50
Time allocated: 30 minutes
Total Time:180 minutes/3 hours
NUMS Entrance Test Result Date: October, 2021
Eligibility Criteria:
- The students waiting for HSSC II or equivalent A Level or any equivalent exam results can also apply and sit in NUMS Entrance test.
- Pakistani citizens or foreign national of being sixteen years of age.

NUMS ENTRANCE TEST CENTRES:
There are minimum 200 centres for the NUMS Entrance test in the following cities:
ICT: Islamabad
Punjab: Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Kharian, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Lahore, Multan, Bahawalpur
Sindh: Karachi, Hyderabad, Panu Aqil
KPK: Abbottabad, Peshawar, DI Khan
AJ & K: Muzaffarabad
Balochistan: Quetta
Students need to mention two preferred centres for the NUMS Entry test. The test location can be changed to near station depending on the number of candidates at one centre.

Passing NUMS Entrance Test: 65% or above
Passing FSc. or equivalent : 65% or above
Passing PMC- NMDCAT: 65% MARKS or above
Hifz e Quran: 20 marks

NUMS COLLEGES FEES
NUMS Constituents PUBLIC Medical Colleges/Institutes fees are compatible with Government Medical Colleges fees which is between 2 lakh-4 lakhs for 4 years program.
In NUMS Constituent colleges e.g. Army Medical College Rawalpindi, The fees are taken annually at the start of every academic year.
The fees at NUMS affiliated Private Medical Institutes are compatible with other Private Medical Colleges of Pakistan which ranges between Rs 75 lakhs- Rs 90 lakhs (Hostel charges are not added) for 4 years MBBS program. The fees are taken annually at the start of every academic year.
