- Parents call for real free
time for kids during their exams
Its exam season parents, it’s not the time for parents to verbally say or older children to sit on study table and do
exam preparation while gazing at TV , scrolling on mobile or rattling at the kitchen but it’s
time to park yourself with them to check their syllabus, books, and notebooks thoroughly.
So please fathers turn off TV and mothers skip kitchen or facebook time for a while and concentrate on your child.
2. Manage Kid's leftover worksheets and
class assignments
At least a week before the exam, sit with
your children, grab their concentration for exams and see if any class
assignment from the exam syllabus is incomplete or if there any worksheet is
missing then visit the school yourself or call the concerned teacher to provide
that with your child. Your kid can also
do it himself if he/she is above 3rd grade so not only advise him to
complete its effort but don’t forget to follow up. Once the exam will start
then it’ll be almost impossible to get any aid from school or class fellows concerning
the missing work.
3. Take it at serious note if your child asks for extra coaching
Ask any family member, neighbor or tuition
teacher to assist the child for some time if he/she really asks you for help. Sometimes parents don’t have enough time or
knowledge to assist their children in subjects like Math or Language etc. then
it is advisable to arrange extra coaching for children to solve their queries
instead to force your child to turn up with his problems just from class
lectures.
4. Make tests for your children and check them up in time
Make complete tests (long questions,
MCQs, blanks) for your children, check them up and ask your children to do the
corrections from the test is the most important tip to get your child fully prepare
for exams. By this, your child will understand his/her level of preparation and
by revision and practice, it’ll perform better in the exam.
#Check the test (giving test will
not help if you’ll not check it for mistakes instead it’ll fix your child’s
mistakes with him/her)

5. Communicate with school and tuition
teacher of your children near exams
Don’t let your child abandoned totally
at school or tuition teacher near exam even if they’re superb but communicate
with them and ask about your children’s progress and study reports. In this way, the teacher will be more focus on your child while observing your consciousness
about his/her grades.
6. Parents should also switch off
mobile while kid’s exams
Banning your children from using
cell phones, tabs and laptops is not only the method to set your children ready
for exams. First of all, parents need to
keep aside their own mobiles while they have a session with their children to warn
them to get good grades. Unfortunately, parents lay bare to give time to
children but actually, their eyes and concentration stay focused on these
gadgets. Children keep on asking their queries about exam and parents answer as
wait… ann … yes… ok…, so please don’t only park yourself with your kids but actually
give at least 30 minutes focused time to them.
7. Manage Spacious, quiet and safe place for kids to grab concentration while exam
Manage place in the house where your
kid can put its stationary, notes or other study stuff easily. It should be any
table, bed or even at the floor where kid’s belongings are safe and untouched from
younger siblings or any other family member if he/she gets up for any break. A place where kids are not disturbed with father's headlines tunes, sibling's rattling or mom's kitchen stuff. If such a place is not unmanageable then keep the clatters low during kid's exam preparation to grab them with full concentration while study.
#a cramped position badly disturbs
kid’s concentration during study or exam preparation.
8. Arrange proper light for kids
The time span for exam preparation
is mostly more than usual daily homework time so it is necessary that parents
arrange sufficient light at study place so that kid’s eyes are not burdened
following the headache.
9. Don’t taunt at your children
Don’t kill your kid’s heart by
repeating its grades at previous class tests instead tell them about the weak
points which were the reason for his/her bad grades. Help him/her solve
the mistakes.
10. Give your kids Incentives for getting good grades
Instead of threatening your children
from a penalty in case of grabbing bad grades, buck them up with incentive of
buying them their favorite gifts, toys, picnic, visit joy land, etc if they
get higher grades. This strategy strongly influences a child’s energies, concentration, and
thoughts and he/she seriously make a serious effort for superior grades.
11.Provide snacks to your kids while they are studying
Biscuits, nuts or chocolate can
keep your kid’s mind active and less sleepy during exam preparation.
12. Reduce test or exam phobia from your child
Keep on giving your child test with a time limit and grab it as soon as the time is over. This tip will reduce the
exam phobia from your kid’s mind and he’ll feel more relaxed when he/she
actually has question paper at her/his hand.
# fix the time (fix a time for test
and snatch it with time otherwise it will not work to reduce exam phobia)
13. Tell the relatives to visit them after kids exams
Wise parents don't shy to message the friends and family about their kid's exam schedule. in one way or another, they prohibit any meetings, visits, and feasts at their place, so that they can fully concentrate on their kid's study.
14. Give your kids a short break and early sleep while exam study
It is advisable to give kids short play or eating breaks to grab their concentration when switching from one subject to another.
13. Tell your kids to pray for good grades
“God will also help you if you’ll
put your all efforts. Start your exam with His name and have faith, you’ll
surely be successful”, this advice surely minimizes the exam burden and increase
children’s concentration that some unseen power is ready for help while exam if
they pray.
<
for me praying is a top tip for getting concentration and higher grades in exams but I put it last as 'God helps those who help themselves'.
At last being a parent, it is really gloomy
to see any unexpected low grades of your children when as parents, you put all
your time, energy and money to provide them with sufficient atmosphere for exam
preparation but believe me ‘right efforts never go in vain’, our children are
learning and seeking what we’re giving to them in one way or another and it’ll definitely
pay you off so keep your fingers cross and get ready to prepare for exams with
your children.
