Why every second country trying to achieve an atomic power even putting all resources ending in failure; because they don't have a person like father of Pakistan's nuclear bomb "Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan."
How it was possible for a third world country Pakistan to become an atomic power, 50 years back? Wasn’t it Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan who made it possible?
WHO IS A HERO?
A hero is a person that paved the nation’s scattered interests and led them to a destiny of prosperity, progress, and achievements. A hero made the things possible which many leaders avoid to try even.WHY NATIONS NEED HEROES?
Every nation needs a hero to get inspiration from his struggles, to feel united under his flag and to continue in his footsteps. A hero can be a politician, a scientist, a player, a writer, a poet or a social activist who brains for its country’s goodwill with passion and struggle. The nations who disrespect and disrepute their heroes for any reason freeze at the point of loss and break down.WHO IS DR. ABDUL QADEER KHAN?
Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan is an icon for every Pakistani. He is a father of Pakistani nuclear power and regarded as Mohsin e Pakistan". The space technology and ballistic missile technology of Pakistan is an illustration of his acquaintance with his country. The whole nation regarded him as a national hero and youth dreamt to put its part in the nation’s progress Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan was born in a city in India Bhopal on 1st April, 1936. He migrated to west Pakistan in 1951. He was married to Belgian woman HENNY Qadeer Khan and had two daughters Dina Khan and Ayesha Khan. In 1972, he got Phd. in metallurgical engineering from Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium and started working on URANIUM enrichment technology for URENCO in the Netherlands. Saddened on the Pakistan defeat against India in 1971 war, in 1975, Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan returned to Pakistan grabbing highly secret gas configuration designs with him. His stolen configuration designs were not the only thing but there came passion and struggle that made the country with limited resources a super atomic power on the world map. This is the reason India never dared to attack on Pakistan like before. Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan made the impossible, possible with limited resources.
WHY Dr. ABDUL QADEER KHAN BECAME A CONTROVERSIAL FIGURE IN PAKISTAN?
Later, his name was allegedly involved in selling and dealing the configuration designs to Libya, Iran and Iraq. He was accused of selling uranium configuration designs, nuclear warhead designs and other highly risked knowledge to other Muslim countries. Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan confessed the deals in 2004 and asked public apology on the National TV. How a hero of Pakistan observed a disrespect among his people was very painful for all of Pakistanis. Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan was then house-arrested. He was given the permission of limited movement in 2009. Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan then appeared in many TV shows and remained involved in educational seminars and activities.
Dr. Abdul Qadeer not only gave Pakistan a nuclear program, but he re-organized the Pakistani national space agency, SUPARCO. He worked in launching the Pakistan’s first Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) project and the Satellite Launch Vehicle (SLV). A senior scientist working in Kahuta research Laboratories exclaimed with deep sadness after Abdul Qadeer Khan's house arrest that Pakistan should not forget the founder of ballistic missile technology.

The nation will always be thankful to Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan, irrespective of what the world alleged him for.
WHAT HAPPENED TO DR. ABDUL QADEER KHAN?
Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan was accused in 2003 for leaking sensitive atomic information to Libya, Iran and North Korea, overlooking the government of Pakistan. This network was disclosed from none other than American agencies who were involved in war in Afghanistan then. Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan confessed the accuses by mentioning that he had fair intentions to empower more Islamic countries with nuclear technology.
He was called to ask public apologies on national TV in February 2004 and then he got a house arrest. He was banned to participate in any social or national activity. With time, the memories and struggles of scientists were erased from the nation’s minds, syllabus and newspapers. Even we don't find his findings on wikipedia and Google searches.
Now let’s ponder the consequences, Pakistan had to face after disrespecting its national scientist.

CONSEQUENCES OF DR.ABDUL QADEER KHAN’S DISRESPECT
Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif once unveiled a part of his talks with President Barack Obama at White House. Barack Obama asked me,
‘“I’m amazed that how a country struggling against immense load shedding, wagging with lower literacy rate and nagging with terrorists at borders has managed to develop an atomic bomb and has all capability to take measures of its safety? I’m amazed…really amazed. How you do this?”’
Then, Nawaz Sharif should tell Obama that we were not at this sluggish level before. When Pakistan accomplished nuclear power in the early ’80s then we paid respect to our scientists and intellectuals. They were the nation’s real heroes and ideals. They were figures that strengthen our bonding with our country.
Then we fell into the rabbit hole. Our achievement rate bunged when we stopped respecting our scholars and scientists. We offended them in public and ultimately we got stuck to illiteracy, load shedding, and terrorism. We don't have any ideal poet, a writer, a scientist, an activist or a player to be claimed as a live hero for twenty years like Faiz Ahmed Faiz, Ahmed Faraz, Abdul Sattar Edhi, Jhangir Khan and many others.
The black night when Pakistan atomic bomb founder Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan had to apologize on national TV in 2004, for whatever he accused of, on the same time, I believe that the first terrorist camp laid its foundations in Pakistan. Our authorities tossed the books with guns and let the guns win. Our whole nation is still paying and sacrificing for disrespecting a nation’s hero.
Developed countries somewhere don’t mind fabricating and promote phony heroes in national interests of folks towards specific goals but in the third world, real heroes are exterminated from history even.
SOME MEMORIES OF DR. ABDUL QADEER KHAN AND HIS FAMILY
Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan was a chief guest on my graduation ceremony in the ’90s and I remember how all girls were dying to peer at the real star of the nation. As Dr. Abdul Qadeer has only two daughters, so he shared few lovely pieces from his life about his daughter Ayesha Khan and Dina Khan. He shared gigs about his foreigner wife with young college students, who sacrificed to leave with him when he decided to leave Netherland to start and lead the Pakistan's nuclear program. Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan was doing his Phd. in Belgium when Pakistan contacted him in late '70's. He briefly told his (actually Pakistan’s) success story.
The achievements of Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan were erased from our memories following the passion, struggle and true loyalty with Pakistan in many areas. Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan had a desolated old age in his house in Islamabad.
WHY NO MORE HEROES IN PAKISTAN AFTER DR. ABDUL QADEER
The achievements of Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan were erased from our memories following the passion, struggle and true loyalty with Pakistan in many areas. Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan had a desolated old age in his house in Islamabad.
Heroes are not made but they are born. Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan was my childhood hero, my young inspiration and a figure that strengthen my bond to my country but for my kids, there is no one to follow on. Do our youth knows about Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan and his contributions to make our country an imperishable? There is not a single hero, even a phony one to inspire the youth to strive at this time in Pakistan. Only our politicians are playing blind man’s bluff with the nation.
