Do not wash raw chicken before cooking- A debate is opened worldwide after new research-fusionstories

Do not wash raw chicken before cooking- A debate is on worldwide

A man brings grocery items from the store and put in the kitchen. His wife enters the kitchen, manages and stores the vegetables, spices, and other grocery but put the raw chicken in the bowl. As the raw chicken is wrapped with blood, smell, bacterias and extra fluid so the woman put the bowl in the sink, open the tap, and starts washing it under running water.

It may take more than half an hour to splash and washing that chicken thoroughly. Other utensils and a few vegetables may rest near the sink which is showering under droplets of water that are splashing during washing the chicken. Meanwhile, she may take a break to hold her baby or to slide the cooking pan from the stove. She may not wear gloves and apron. She cuts the chicken in smaller pieces, cooks, and stores. This is what happened in every home.

All of us are told since childhood to wash fruits, vegetables, and any raw eatables before use.  As far as the raw chicken meat and other poultry items are concerned then recently NHS-National health services advise that meat shouldn't be washed before cooking. You can google search to check the authenticity. How it can be?

I know this theory is going to shock every woman who can't imagine cooking the chicken without washing it. The debate is open worldwide. Most are saying this research as idiotic. Many are finding ways to clean raw chicken without washing. Others are arguing that how we can get rid of blood, poop bites smell, and extra fluids from raw chicken without washing. Most of us buy Chicken from butcher shops where anyone can observe hygiene limitations. So how is it possible to cook chicken without washing? But the real question should be that Why we should not wash raw chicken?

Then the answer is that we shouldn't wash chicken under running water under any circumstances.

Raw chicken, meat and poultry items have thousands of bacteria or Campylobacter on them. These bacteria splash with running water droplets and touch and stick to kitchen utensils, clothes, and other eatables and we can't even know of it. These bacteria will enter the bodies and attack digestive and brain systems. It simply causes food poisoning and many other diseases and we even don't know the reason.
Non- organic chicken is supposed to have more bacteria upon them and cause more pressure on the healthcare system. Then should we cook the messy and blood-filled chicken and should think that bacterias will die while cooking?
Then the answer is
  •  Wash the chicken by soaking it simply in vinegar, lemon, or salty water and try utmost not to splash water.

  • Never let packaging or raw chicken in contact with other kitchen items.

  • Thoroughly wash hands after you touch the chicken.

  • Also wash the bowl, cutting board, and knife thoroughly that was used in managing the chicken.

A renowned chef in a Pakistani cooking show also told once that during our training, we're shown the videos to stay protected from bacterias that can stick the surfaces while managing meat.
This is one of the illustrations that show how washing chicken under running water may spread thousands of bacterias around you.

So cook safe, eat safe, and stay happy.
