Eid moon sighting 2020? Science and Technolgy calender vs Ruet e hill committee-fusion stories

Moonsighting meeting will be held on 23rd May 2020 Saturday in Pakistan. Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman will chair and announce the final decision about moon sighting after a conversation with zonal committees and on valid testimony from the public.

'Central Ruet-e-hilal committee Pakistan will meet on 23rd May, Saturday at the Pakistan Meteorological Office Karachi for Eid moon sighting in Pakistan,'

According to the religious affairs ministry statement.

Meeting of Zonal/District Ruet e hilal committees will be held at their respective headquarters at the same time. The zonal Ruet e Hilal Committee will hold its meeting in the ministry of religious affairs and interfaith harmony Islamabad.

The final decision of moon sighting will be announced by Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman after discussion with other committees and on valid testimony of moon sighting from the public. WhatsApp numbers are available so people can call the committee if they sight the Eid moon.

On another hand, the Ministry of Science and Technology is updating the Islamic Hijri calendar on its website under Fawad Chaudhry. Earlier, Fawad Chaudhry insisted to lessen the traditional moon-sighting procedure with the latest technology.

Recently a representative from the Ministry of Science and Technology is put into Ruet e hilal committee for moon sighting of Ramzan.

Fortunately, till day Hijri calendar of Ministry of Science and technology is confirming to the traditional Ruet e hilal ideas.

According to a calendar at the website of Ministry of Science and technology, the moon will be sighted on Saturday 23rd May 2020 on 29th Ramzan and Eid 1st Shawal, which will be on 24t  May 2020 inshaAllah.

Ministry of science calendar says eid on 24th may 2020

Ramzan/Shawwal 1440,2020 Calendar says like Science & technology website-Ministry of  Science & technology predicts that 1st Shawal 1440 and Eid ul Fitr will be on 24th May Sunday, 2020 in Pakistan.

On the other side, according to person at the meteorological department, there are fewer chances of moon crescent or hilal to be sighted on a Saturday night. As the moon will be born on 22 May 2020, 28th Ramzan 1441, at 10: 30 pm but it'll be visible on 23 May 2020. There are fair good chances that Eid ul Fitr will be on Monday, 25th May 2020.

We hope soon the air will be clear about the correlation between science and traditional moon sighting in Pakistan but Science & technology predicts that 1st Shawal 1440 and Eid ul Fitr will be on 24th May Sunday, 2020.
