Make Samosa and samosa Patti at home recipe just like market-fusionstories

How to make a market like a samosa and, samosa patti at home.


This is a recipe from a busy samosa seller in the local market. He also told us the most technical part that how to make samosa Patti at home and how to wrap just like shape triangular samosa shape.
Later, I tried it home and was successful to make a market like samosas but ofcourse practice makes anyone perfect.

RECIPE
Time: 30 minutes
Serving: 12-14 persons

A perfect samosa is a triangle in shape and is filled with boiled potato mixture mostly. The samosa can be filled with chicken and vegetable mixture.  

Ingredients: 

For Filling:

Boiled potato 🥔 9-10
Salt    1/2 tablespoon
Red pepper 1/2 tablespoon
Green chilies crushed 3-4

Mix boiled potatoes, salt, pepper, and green chilies in a bowl and set at the side.

For samosa Patti

White flour (maida) 1 cup

Whole grain flour (wheat) 1/2 cup
Salt  1/2 teaspoon

Cumin seeds(zeera) 1/2 teaspoon
Water 1 cup

Method: Take a bowl, add flour, salt, cumin seed in it and prepare the smooth dough by using water. Place the dough to set-asides for half an hour.
Once the dough is ready then make small portions from the dough and make their round like parey. 



Now take one part and spread it around with a rolling pin.
Once the dough is flat round then cut it in two halves. Here you've got two perfect samosa pattian at home.


 Put the boiled potato filling on both samosa Patti and turn the party to make it perfect triangle market like samosa shape. Use water at edges to bind the samosa patti.




You'll have one straight and another semi-circular edge. Turn the party from the straight side. First, fold from one side and wrap another side on it.


Your samosas are ready. Fry them on medium heat and get praise from family.

I got 6 small pera from 1/2 cup dough and ultimately a total of 12 samosas. You can increase the ingredients if you are making samosas for Ramzan iftar time or expecting a bulk of guests in short. 


You can make as many samosas as you want in one go by this process and can freeze them for long.
Put samosa in a tray and freeze it. When samosas are frozen then scratch them the ut of tray and conserve the em in shobagsng bag for long use.

I also tried to make small samosas by cutting the round roti into four parts and got four samosa patti. If you like more filling then flour crust, then go for this method.



Filling options:

A mixture of boiled and crushed chicken, boiled potatoes, salt, pepper and other spices.

Boiled chicken with spices

Boiled and fried finely cut vegetables like carrot 🥕, peas,  and capsicum.

There are various recipes of sweet samosas too but they're not as popular as traditional potato samosas.


What is samosa

Samosa is one of the favorite snacks in Pakistan and India. Anyone can observe many crowded samosa stalls and shops in these countries.
It is any high-tea party, school canteen, friends gathering or guests for Rishta, every event is incomplete without samosas.
As more people are getting conscious about hygiene and also avoid to buy market samosa because of cheap quality oil that is used for frying can make this samosa at home. 
This homemade samosa and samosa Patti is not inexpensive but healthy and beneficial.
