Hasty decision to close schools will destroy education, Shafqat Mehmood

'Any decision the center will take on reopening educational institute will be 'guided by the advice of a health ministry, '.

Responding to the press conference of Sindh education minister Saeed Ghani, where Ghani announced that reopening of schools for grade 6th, 7th, and 8th from 23rd September is postponed after a rising number of corona cases in Sindh province, Federal minister of education Shafqat Mehmood expressed his views.

'Any hasty decision to close educational institutes will destroy education'. Shafqat Mehmood tweeted that any decision to reopen educational institutes will be guided by the advice e of the health ministry. The six-month closure of schools had deeply affected students. The health of students is our first priority and any decision will be taken on advisee of the health ministry.
On one side when students are excited and happy about the reopening schools their parents are worried about the health of their kids. Schools were reopened on a considerable decline in corona cases in Pakistan but the second wave of the corona is observed in the first week as soon as the educational institutes get opened from grade 9 and onwards for colleges and students. Sindh government has postponed the decision of school reopening for junior classes till the next meeting on 28th September.
'Many schools are observed not to follow the prescribed SOP's and this can be fatal for the student's health, ' Ghani told. What do you say about it?
