Yogurt made in microwave in winter homemade-fusionstories

Microwave made yogurt in winter make at home

Making a perfect yogurt at home is a tedious and lengthy task. It becomes even harder to make yogurt in the colder winter season. Many of us see half done yogurt even after 9 to 10 hrs which is just a mixture of yogurt and milk and not proper yogurt which is quite frustrating.

A perfect yogurt can be made in a microwave oven in just 1 minute in winter or cold.  Microwave work to make yogurt.

Method 1

  • Take more Yogart than usual to Make yogurt in winter.

  • Add Warm milk in it & mix in airtight/microwve safe box.

  • Put box in microwave and turn on microwave for 30 second. It'll start fermentation easily and keep mixture warm for long.

  • Wrap the box in kitchen cloth or kitchen towel

  • Put the box in warmer place.

  • A perfect Yogary is ready after 7-8 hours.

METHOD 2

When you observe that proper yogurt is not made after waiting for hours.

  • Put the half-done yogurt box in the microwave oven.
  • Set the timer for 1 minute.
  • After 1 minute turn off the microwave and wait for two minutes.

Now open the box. A perfect microwave yogurt is ready. Separate liquid if you want.

Put the yogurt in the fridge for thickness and better texture.

Here I've made this yogurt in the microwave.

I put the mixture of 1 glass of warm milk, 1 spoon of starter yogurt in a plastic box and waited for the whole night.
In the morning, I could just see half-done yogurt. So I put the box in the microwave and get this perfect yogurt in 1 minute.

This method only works when some fermentation is already started in the milk to make yogurt. It is necessary to wait for at least 4 to 5 hrs to get perfect yogurt from the microwave oven.
Yogurt is made when the starter yogurt spoon starts to ferment the milk. In warm milk and at a warm place or season this process becomes fast. We can even get perfect yogurt at room temperature at areas with 40° plus temperature.
But...it becomes disappointing and frustrating when even after using lukewarm milk, a spoonful of starting yogurt, and putting the covered box in a warmer place, yogurt is not made.
