SBP Service Desk for low cost House financing borrowers

 


After receiving pa positive response on the government's low-cost house finance scheme and to resolve borrowers' issues,  SBP has created a service desk for borrowers of housing finance.

The central bank official Twitter account told that people could register their complaints by providing minimum details on the online service portal.

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has created a service Desk to facilitate the borrowers of mera Pakistan, mera Ghar housing scheme.


 The facility is provided to borrowers under the government’s low-cost markup subsidy for housing finance. Borrowers can lodge any complaints against banks while availing financing.


The central bank says that people can register their complaints by providing minimum details on the online service portal.

"Through SBP’s Service Desk to facilitate borrowers under Government’s Markup Subsidy for Housing Finance, you can register a complaint by providing minimum details on the online service portal. To access the portal:
servicedesk.sbp.org.pk," the tweet says.

To make the Service Desk functional, the SBP had established a network of focal persons of banks and SBP offices in 15 cities to settle applicants' complaints.

For registering any complaint, the complainant is required to provide his/her details. Also, information about the bank against which the complaint is to be registered is required.


All Pakistani banks are offering government-subsidized low-cost housing finance up to Mark up of 5% under SBP guidelines. Housing finance is available for first-time buyers or owners to construct or purchase 5 marla and 10 marla houses, or flats. Also a stability in SBP interest rate of 7% has lowered down the KIBOR rates following lowering installments on car financing and house financing.
