 A traditional breakfast of Pakistan is a fried egg or an omelet with paratha with a cup of tea. A Pakistani paratha is a  round wheat bread greased with butter or oil. Paratha is most commonly eaten for breakfast in all areas of Pakistan with egg, salan, yogurt, butter or achaar. Pakistani people also take glass of milk, fresh fruit juice or Pakistani tea. Pakistani tea is prepared with loose black-tea, sugar and milk. It is just like a British tea.

As a tourist, you must have to try Halwa puri, Naan channey and Paye with a full glass of lassi. Lassi is a yogurt-based traditional Pakistani drink that is served with a loaf of fresh butter. These are also the weekend breakfast in Pakistan where people enjoy halwa puri and naan channey with lassi at local restaurants or at home.

Other traditional breakfast include Double Roti (bread), Rus, Cake Rusk, Halwa puri, Channey, Naan and Paye with Doodh patti, lassi and makhan(butter).

DESSERTS OF PAKISTAN

Most of the Pakistani doesn’t have a sweet-tooth but they like to eat desserts after meals. Some popular Pakistani desserts are Kheer, Sheer khuram, Trifle, Custard, Lab e Shireen, Shahi Tukrey, Zarda, Halwa, Gur waley chawal, Seviyan and Mithai.

Mitai are the traditional sweet food in Pakistan made with milk, sugar, flour & organic oil.

Lal Sharbat in Pakistan is made with famous red syrup of popular drink brands like Rooh Afza or Jam e shireen. Add a portion of red syrup, sugar, ice cubes and in a jug full of water to make a refreshing and full of energy traditional Pakistani lal sharbat. People also add lemon juice to lal sharbat. Guests are also served with this red sharbat. Pakistani people use lal sharbat in Ramzan at the time of iftar as you can say that Iftar time cuisine in Pakistan is incomplete without a jug of lal sharbat made of Rooh Afza, Jam e shireen or any red syrup brand.

 PAKISTANI TEA

A black-tea with milk is liked and consumed in all parts of Pakistan. Pakistani tea is prepared after adding the milk and sugar to boiled black tea liquid. The more you heat the tea mixture, the more it will be tasty and strong. Most of Pakistani people consume many cups of tea in a single day. Pakistani tea is available in all big and small hotels and cafes. People like to pass free time in local cafes while taking tea and watching news.

Is Pakistani cuisine spicy?

 Pakistani food may be spicy for some as people like spicy food in Pakistan that is cooked with red pepper, green pepper, and local garam masalas(spices). In real, the food is not too much spicy that you can eat it without taking a lot of water.
