Every Time Passes Away
A poem
Saima Nadeem
Every time passes away
Time crosses anyway
Swinging on the moon
Tugging with the noon
Hurrying to school
Or tightening some tool
From getting the wage sheet
To missing the first heartbeat
Carrying loads of regrets
Under some cherished moments
Every time passes away
Time crosses anyway
Losing the closed ones
Patting the dodging turns
Some faces unveil dark
Stunt tongue can't talk
Affections wear masks
Realities put harsh casts
Carrying loads of secrets
Under pieces of smart cheaters
Every time passes away
Time crosses anyway
Peeping at the wallet in mist
Remembering the long grocery list
Wrestle against inflation
Looking at nearly station
Sweat leaves the forehead
Can't tell anyone under a shed
Carrying loads of responsibility
Under obligations of nobility
Every time passes away
Time crosses anyway
From exploring the mountain gaps
To wearing the knee caps
People come and go
Leaving footprints they show
From a solace of laughter
To wish for life thereafter
Carrying pain cuts the chest
Under life doesn't stop for rest
Every time passes away
Time crosses anyway
Health, wealth, and love
Earned under fearful rove
Self-blaming in the trance
Would life give another chance
In the arms of heaven
To the feet of a demon
Carrying the cargoes on the shin
Under the wrinkled skin
Every time passes away
Time crosses anyway
Will it be harsh or show mercy?
Why can't guess anything early?
Every turn follows trends
The same situation has many ends
From pleading to pass it fast
To wish of pausing it in past
Carrying uncaring attitude
Under respect even if you're rude
Every time passes away
Time crosses anyway
Wait, don't take it serious
Time reveals its mysterious
Dark chases the sun daily
Does it say "I'm done"? Truly!
It does rise again to confess
Even King has to confront less
Carrying many success stories
Under begging turning into glories
Every time passes away
Time crosses anyway
