Blended e-learning is a popular technique mainly offered by online course administrations throughout the world.

Pakistan is a country where most students don't have proper internet access. Also, continuous online classes have lost their interest as part of both teacher and students sides. There is a need for a blended e-learning system that can engage teachers and students properly. Corona Virus fear has made it difficult to join physical schools. A blended e-learning education system combines online classes and physical or in-person class methods. The world is now adapting to blended e-learning rapidly to ensure a healthy pace of education. In a blended e-learning education system, students and teachers can be called on given time to interact in person. Students may have to submit assignments or to take help with newer concepts during in-person classes. These classes can be arranged according to the given schedule for every level. In short, students will be able to give feedback on what they learned in online classes.

Federal Minister of education Shafqat Mehmood explained that blended e-learning is a new normal as schools all over the world are redesigning their strategies because of Covid 19. The ministry of education is also working with blended e-learning projects to assist students and teachers to ensure continuity.
The pilot project of blended e-learning in Pakistan will be launched in the Federal capital Islamabad where different technologies will be used at different levels to test and understand the effectiveness of new technology. A third party will evaluate the effectiveness of the project. It will help the units to access the results of the project. Once the results are according to expectations then the blended e-learning project will be launched Nationwide.

What is the STEM Approach

STEM education is a modern technique to discourage rata based system of studying. In the STEM approach, students learn skills in the four domains: Science, technology, engineering, and Mathematics. Every school should adopt STEM learning to ensure quality education. It requires laboratories and areas where students can think analytically and reach the skill of problem-solving.

The STEM approach to learning is also a part of a blended e-learning project. STEM education is one of the key parameters that differentiate the quality of education in the public and private sectors.

The blended e-learning project and STEM approach explain that the Pakistani education ministry is taking crucial measures by introducing intensive amendments in the national curriculum to incorporate STEM subjects be a part of student's academic journey. The government is integrating different tools: robotics kids,  IOT kits with science and math curriculum will improve the quality of education. For this purpose, discovery innovation laboratories will be established in the schools of the federal capital Islamabad.

We hope that government initiatives to introduce technology in education will improve the standard of education.
