Board Students feel relax on exam of elective subjects only


The pandemic of corona virus has made the things unpredictable and uncertain including the in person  exam of matric and intermediate classes. The students of board classes : class 9, class 10, class 11 and class 12 were stressed taking their exams. The decision of taking the exam of only elective subjects along with Mathematics has relaxed many students. Now they are able to focus on elective subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Psychology, Islamic studies, History, Geography, and others will be held along Mathematics paper. There will be no exam of compulsory subjects including Pakistan Studies, Islamyat, Urdu and English.

The ministry of education has advised the authorities to give enough gap between each paper. It also has released a stress out of students who are struggling between online classes and tough board exam patterns. The marks of board exams in class 10 and class 12 decide the future career of any student. It is the time which shadow on all future of student. The students strive for their dreams to become future doctors, engineers, IT experts and skies are the limits. They have to face tough competition while taking admissions in top colleges and universities if they can't get good grades. The students were real worried and stressed as they couldn't practise for exams. They couldn't attend crash courses, send ups, resend ups to get fully prepared for exams. The decision of taking only exam of elective subjects has releases the tension of students.

New decision about board exam



  • Class 9 and class 10 students will give 4 papers. 3 elective plus Mathematics
  • Class 11 and Class 12 students will give 3 papers of elective subject only
  • There will not be paper of Islamyat, Pakistan studies, English and Urdu
  • All exam has been pushed after 10th July.
  • New date sheets of FBISE, BISE, BSEK will be online soon.
  • There will be enough gap between the papers.
  • There will be class 10 and class 12 exam first.
  • The exam of class 9 and class 11 will be taken afterwards.
  • The syllabus is already reduced up to 40%.

There are two type of subjects, one are compulsory that includes Islamyat, Urdu, and English.

Elective subject or Ikhtairi subject means the subjects which students choose at the start of class. For example science students will give paper of Chemistry, Physics and Biology. The students from I com will give paper of business, etc. The students of humanities or arts will give paper of geography, Islamic studies, education, physical education, sociology, welding or any subject they choose other than compulsory subject. The paper of Mathematics will be compulsory for the students of class 9 and class 10. While students of class 11 and class 12 will only give paper of 3 elective subjects.

As there were long school closure due to corona lock down in Pakistan and students couldn't get formal preparation under teachers supervision. Also all academies and coaching centres remained closed following corona SOP's. Many students could access to online classes or they don't find it helpful.
