DISAGREEMENT
WILL NOT BE PARDONED
‘Why you are wandering here and there. Join us in
our discussion,’ just then one student from a small room invited them inside. A
group of boys seemed to bear different age groups, were revising their lesson
about reflection of light delivered by Al Haytham in morning.
‘I’m not agreed with the concept of pin hole camera.
How can we save images on any screen like our eyes? This is disgusting. We’re
just wasting our time,’ a brown haired, strong looking boy was trying to impose
his point.
‘I don’t think so; light enters in our eyes and then
reflects back in a straight line. The theory of camera will enhance the beauty
of this land one day. Sir, Al Haytham is admirable for such a great work,’
another boy with a small beard argued back.
‘He seemed right. Knowledge of optics will lead us
to save the images out of our eyes soon and also we could be able to cure many
sight malfunctioning,’ one of the fellows agreed the second one.
‘Off course,’ Murtaza tried to hold his glasses but
he didn’t find any on his nose.
‘I’m not saying it myself. I’m older and more acknowledged
than you all. You should concur to me without asking for any justification. Above
all he same point is also interpreted in many Islamic books that light can’t
travel in a straight line. We should stop this research at once,’ that brown
haired boy got up and erupted in anger. It seemed he didn’t like the
disagreement at all. In a single loud breath, he tried to give the lot of
justifications to prove his point. Silence prevailed among the group for a
while. Hassan and Murtaza looked at each other thoughtfully.
‘I’m not still agreed. We all have read almost all
books thoroughly with translation,’ the boy with beard got up calmly and
brought a heavy pile of rough brown papers from one corner.
‘Where is it written or interpreted, show me. The
argument will be over?’ he forwarded those books.
‘What do you think? Is it really here? You may also
have learned these’ small beard boy suddenly turned towards Murtaza and Hassan for
support.
‘Actually, we are new comers. We’re about to learn
these soon,’ Murtaza replied awkwardly.
‘Learn these soon? These are in Arabic. We only memorize
some verses of Quran with translation near the exams and forget after that. We
have some books in cupboard but we haven’t touched them even,’ Hassan
whispered.
‘Don’t worry, I’ll keep my words,’ Murtaza feeling
the strong feeling of guilty at that time.
‘I am sorry, may I have read it somewhere else. Put
this back respectfully,’ meanwhile that brown haired boy got embarrassed on his
wrong reference after searching thoroughly.
At astonishment to Hassan and Murtaza that group started their discussion
again serenely as nothing was happened a while ago.
‘Let us go. We have to take some rest,’ Hassan got
up hurriedly and came outside with Murtaza.
‘Thanks god, I thought that man would kill the other
but he instantly cooled down after admitting his mistake. I don’t believe this;
they all were tolerant about the different point of views of each other
irrespective of belonging to different cultures and different sectors of Islam?’
Hassan was surprised.
‘This is 11th century, dude. Muslims were
well equipped with the proper religious and worldly knowledge at that time.
Their strong educational base enhanced their capability to rule the splendid
empires in the following centuries. Not like us, fellows of 22nd
century who neither knows the world nor the way to heaven. Every one claims to
be scholar at its place and we rush behind him blindly without asking about
his/her authenticity,’ Murtaza replied thoughtfully.
A PRECIOUS BURIED BRACELET IN A PYRAMID
‘The security is very tight at pyramids because of
the threats and attempts from robbers from all over the world. No one is allowed
entering inside the pyramids. We can’t do it for you. I’m sorry,’ one of the
men told him. He was looking the chief among those three.
‘I’ll pay more than you can think of. Find any way
to enter there. I want this bracelet at any cost,’ He showed them the picture
of queen, wearing a beautiful bracelet.
‘A colorful sketch! Do you draw it? Are you an
artist?’ they all went amazed after looking at the colorful picture in front of
them.
‘No, I’m a scientist. Can you look this bracelet for
me or not?’
‘Where are
you from? You’re looking us strange. Your shadowed face, your dressing, your
language, even this picture every thing is bizarre,’ the first man replied
again.
‘Nothing is strange. I only have some malfunctioning
in my system,’
‘What! Where you have what in you? We don’t
understand,’ those robbers looked at each other.
‘It’s just
because of that so called scientist Zaka. I can’t adjust the language and
dressing code while moving in times. I had to move directly from future to
past, skipping the present but soon I’ll access it too,’ that strange man got
irritated and muttered to himself.
‘Why don’t you understand that I want this bracelet
to get rid of my shadow? My physical presence is impossible without the stones
from that bracelet? Ok I’ll look for some one else. I can’t let that so called
scientist win again,’ he screamed on them and turned back.
‘I think we
can work out any idea to enter in the pyramids,’ the chief robber stared at the
picture thoughtfully and called him back......
