Federal board has uploaded latest paper pattern and model paper of English compulsory class 12 for exam 2021. Model papers are used for better understanding of paper pattern, marks distribution and to know scheme of studies. This English model paper of class 12 HSSC II will give an idea of questions that are going to be part of annual board exam. After the model paper, a brief description of all parts, paper pattern and scheme of studies is also provided to benefit the students.

There will be no change in the format of fbise papers. The fbise English paper has four sections: A, B, & C.
The paper will comprise MCQs, objective type as well as short and long Q/As.
fbise question paper will comprise three sections:
Section-A is 20% MCQs. This part will be compulsory.
Section-B comprise 50% of paper will hold short answers questions.
Section- C will comprise 30% long/essay type questions.
According to fbise English model paper of class 12, section A has 20 marks and time allowed is 25 minutes. There will be 20 MCQs with four options each. This section is compulsory. All parts need to solve. From this year, fbise will use OMR or bubble sheets to solve objective type paper so students will be able to keep objective type paper with them. Students will be provided OMR SHEETS where students will fill in the right circle carefully. OMR sheet will then taken back after given 25 minutes.
Now if see, Section B of English paper class 12 then it comprises 40 marks. There will be short but brief question answers from prose, poetry and plays. There is choice in parts of given questions. This part is designed in such a way that students can be evaluated for their understanding of lessons, & poems. Students need to completely read the lessons from book to get good marks instead of relying on notes and guides.
In question 2 A, Students will attempt any 5 parts from prose. The questions are given from chapters of English textbook. Each answer should be 40-50 words. each answer will carry 4 marks.
Note: Questions related to theme, central ideas, values, subject matter and critical appreciation will be included.
In question 2 B, STUDENTS WILL DO ANY TWO PARTS OUT OF THREE. This part is from poetry section of textbook. Each answer will carry 4 marks and students can collect 8 marks from here.
Question 3 of section B comprises questions from plays. Students have to attempt two questions out of 3. each answer should be 60-70 words in context of book or play.
Section C of English paper class 12 also has 40 marks. There are 4 long questions in this section and all questions are compulsory.
Q 4 is report writing from unseen topic.
Q 5 (a) is to rewrite unseen passage after removing grammatical errors. Students will also underline mistakes here.
Q 5 (b) Students will make sentences of given idioms. Students have to make sentences of 4 idioms out of 6.
Q 6 is unseen passage or comprehension. The students will answer the questions after reading the passage.It comprises 10 marks so students need to do it carefully.

There will be two topics for essay where students need to choose and write 1. Also an outline is also given with each essay topic to guide the students. Students need to use given outline format in the essay.
It always seem tough to get better grades in English paper but if you follow the fbise scheme of studies and thoroughly study from book then you can get very good grades. Here many students just rely on guides and notes but don't even once go through plays and lessons. We advise you to read plays and lessons by yourself before looking for any notes. This will help you to better understand the questions and understanding of answers.
