  حضرت ابراہیم علیہ السلام کی دعااور پس منظر حضرت ابراہیم علیہ السلم کی  دعااور پس منظر    دُعا :ربنا تقبل منا انت السمیع العلیم ترجمہ: اے ہمارے پروردگار قبول فرما ہم سے (ہمارا عمل) بے شک تو سب کچھ سننے والا اور سب کچھ جاننے والا ہے۔ حضرت ابراہیم علیہ السلام کی دعا کا پس منظر : حضرت ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) اور ان کے بیٹے اسماعیل (علیہ السلام) نے کعبہ کی تعمیر کی۔ فارغ ہونے کے بعد، وہ اللہ سبحانہ وتعالیٰ  کی رضامندی کے خواہاں تھے۔ وہ اس بات کو یقینی بنانا چاہتے تھے کہ انہوں نے جو بھی نیکی کی ہے اسے قبول کیا جائے گا۔ چنانچہ انہوں نے عبادت میں پکارا، ربنا تقبل من انک انت السمع العلیم، یعنی اے ہمارے رب، ہم سے [یہ] قبول فرما۔ بے شک تو سننے والا اور جاننے والا ہے۔‘‘ اس دعا سے ہمیں یہ سبق حاصل ہوتا ہے کہ جب بھی ہم کسی نیک کام میں مشغول ہوں تو ہمیں اللہ سے اس کی قبولیت کے لیے دعا کرنی چاہیے۔ یہ نہ صرف یہ ظاہر کرتا ہے کہ ہماری نیت خالص ہے بلکہ یہ ایک یاد دہانی کے طور پر بھی کام کرتی ہے کہ ہم جو بھی نیکی کرتے ہیں  اللہ کی رضا کے لۓ کرتے ہیں۔
